In response to the heater / Cool air mod I have a theory. I am running the standard heater/defroster that mounts under the dash. I works well and draws the air to blow from that area and uses the coolent to warm the air. I'm rebuilding my engine and and wanted to plumb the system with Earls/Aeroquip fittings and they make an inline valve that has a throw arm to open and close coolent flow. So, if you close the incoming coolent for 9 months a year and turn your heater on - you actually turn your cooler on. Haven't tried it but when I do I'll let you know how it works.
