ERA supplied the banjo bolts for my car. Included were the Stat-O-Seal washers that Bob Putnam refered to in his earlier post, and a copper washer. There were also 2 copper washers attached to the brake line hose.
I installed the Stat-O-Seal washer between the caliper and the hose, and a copper washer between the hose and the head of the banjo bolt. Unfortunately, I mounted the hose backwards. One side of the hose fitting is notched and I convinced myself that the notched side should go against the caliper.
Wrong!
The result was brake fluid everywhere. Once I figured it out, and reversed the hose fitting, the leaks stopped.
