I would (SHOULD) be the last one giving advice in the forums what is ok and what is not, but.......
I'll try anyway.

Evan argues things to death, but I have to give it to him, he does so without resorting to name calling. Let's keep it at that level.

It takes a little more thought and few more look-ups in the dictionary to say something cute and clever and still have a punch to what you said. Then there is the easy way out.

maybe witty writing, but not very good reading.
