agro1, The other problem that causes run on is the electric fan. If you don't have it isolated with a diode or relay it will generate power back to the ignition until the fan stops. Otherwise fixit is right, you may need to lower idle speed. I also find that if you let the engine idle for a few seconds after you stop, it will settle and not run on.
