Picture a spatula "egg flipper", and now picture using hose clamps to put a "noise shield " over the left side side pipe..I have some non combustable padding if anybody needs any. The biggest issue is that we don't litter the straight with a bunch of home made noise reducing contraptions that fell off.
Some sort of shield or downturn is what we are talking about. 104db is the limit. The Cup Car is 109 db WITH mufflers, so we had to have a special "right side" cup car exhaust made (they are all left side as the right side would scrape going counter clockwise around banked track). This is probably going to knock all the cup cars out of the event except mine, Woodruffs, and Feltons. Hence no others are listed except Ed Bulls, and he is working on a noise shield.
I have no I desa what can be done about the Lolas. They are just too loud. Last year as we ran them a group gathered at the gate and fortunately, they were not complaining and were just watching.
