I'm having trouble converting from auto to toploader. It is a older kit that uses mustangII/pinto parts and has a small block ford. I would like to use a pull type clutch with a toploader. I have the transmission, pedals, cable shifter, everything but a bellhousing. Is there a certain car that used a pull type clutch with a toploader bolt patern, or is there a way to modify an aluminum belhousing to work with a pull type clutch? I really did not want to run a HEAVY steel safety belhousing, i don't plan on doing any stupidly high rpm launches.
