Micheal ,
You are probably right , I grew up dirt poor , and we always called them "freeze plugs" I bought my first 312 with popped "freeze plugs"For $50 ....they did save that engine. I was 15 years old and couldnt get the new plugs in, so I bought rubber ones that had a wing nut you tightened up to expand them in the hole.....drove that engine for a year and a half till I totalled the car. ....But thats a nuther story.....And yea, I dont think these 427 plugs are going to pop out too easy..
you think maybe those "core plugs " could have been designed or placed with a dual purpose?
