Hal Keck had a Cobra with the #88 . He drove it for years with that #88. His first sponsor was Hellertown Motors(PA) Also had Archway Ford as a sponsor. The car was blue and awesome fast!
I was a teenager when Hal won the A/P class at Giants Despair Hillclimb in Pa. (Several yrs) I saw that car hit a rock with the right front fender, Keck said it was very foggy that morning and he went off the road a bit, no big deal!
Also saw Keck and Oscar Koveleski (Auto World Can Am) drive # 88 to victory at the Glen Six Hours. Can't imagine driving a 427 Cobra for a six hr race . These guys were having a BLAST!! What an experience!
Don't know if Hal Keck is still around. I think the car is in Shelby's stable. Don't know for sure. What a car!!
