There's also a product called "Goof Off" that is meant for such things. Most hardware stores carry it and I've even seen it in an office supply place. Works on nylon, vinyl, polypropylene but the can does not list polycarbonates. Contains xylene. Best thing I have ever found for removing sticky lables and the gunk they leave behind. Works on latex paint too. (Got some paint on my brickwork) Wipes right off. Soap and water will take off any film left behind. Just be sure to get all of the gunk off first.
Container is yellow with a big red lable.
