I have added some of my Cobra pictures from SAAC 28 to my Gallery - check 'em out. There were a lot of nice Cobras - a bunch of 289's, and a few 427's, even some Comp cars in both flavors. There were two 289 Cobras in the Concours, and two in the "Survivor" (unrestored) class. My Classic Car and HorsePower TV were both there checking out the action on Saturday.
Talked with Jim Maxwell and Tom Cotter (Tom wrote the great new book out about Holman-Moody, and has 1.5 Cobras - sharing a half of CSX 2149 with Jim). Met Ron "computerworks" in the garage - man, did he luck out on timing for his shots of CSX 3002 or what?
I brought my '65 HiPo Mustang convertible to SAAC 28 (the white one parked outside the garage area - I normally work Tech at the SAAC events). Too bad about the rain on Sunday - took a lot of "thunder" out of the show. The early Mustang class looked like a "HiPo" convention, my ragtop and two fastbacks (two REAL ones, and one conversion).
There was even a replica Daytona Coupe, and a 289 Cobra go-cart at SAAC 28. Quite a few nice cars to enjoy in Music City.
See Y'all next year in MY backyard at Michigan Speedway.
regards,
Jeff
