I think you hit the nail on the head: "Was the CSX worth more to me". This thread has turned into another of the type of Big Block vs Small Block, CSX vs the world, my Johnson's bigger than your Johnson crap flings. Remember why we buy these cars! We pick the one that's right for our particular circumstance, making the argument of which one is "better" a matter of opinion. Is my car the fastest, prettiest, best handling, etc. etc. in the whole wide world? Not by a long shot. Is it the best in the world for ME? You bet! Would I like a "better" one? Sure! If I could afford it. Were I in a position to buy either a CSX or SPF for even dollars it would be a tough choice, but the history that attaches itself to the CSX would certainly weigh heavily in the decision.
Evan, I agree with your opening salvo in this thread, that the majority would buy the CSX, because of the history of the marque. Other manufacturers products would have to be pretty special to outweigh theat history, and for many people, that would be the case. It all boils down to personal preference.
