Default Gotta compare apples to apples !!!!

Spoony,

You say you are disappointed with your hp numbers. I suggest you compare apples to apples. That is, look at chassis dyno results of other SIMILAR cars (Superformance) with the SAME crate engine (460). Ask around, maybe you can get this info from other SPF owners, your chassis dyno shop, etc. If so, you can compare your numbers with the other guys. Maybe your numbers are in line with theirs. Until you do this, you will be spinning your wheels and never know what's right.

Some people have said 28%-30% hp loss from flywheel to rear wheels is about right. I dunno. I've heard (through Club Cobra and other sources) that the range is more like 15%-20%. Remember that hp loss is due to frictional losses that are converted to heat. So, 30% seems like a lot to me. But if that's a good number, I'm gonna be thinking long and hard before choosing my new engine. How's 700 HP sound ????

Y'all take it easy now, Brett
