In an attempt to keep things PG I am going to need some help in the guidelines please. Twice a warning has been posted about keeping things under control.
So I looked up PG in an attempt to understand where this thread is overstepping good taste. Here is what I found is allowed in PG (not PG-13):
- breif nudity
- "..content "will clearly need to be examined or inquired about before children are allowed to attend the film." "
- "PG rating is a sensible way to explore many "adult" subjects, without offending the vast majority of the film going community"
Movies that are included in PG rating include:
- The hunt for red October
- Summer or 42
- Jaws
- American Graffiti
- A mid-summers night sex comedy
Granted had some of the older movies had been released after PG-13 rating emerged, they may have been rated PG-13.
In looking through this thread I tried to keep the rating in mind. I can see in some instances where we might be brushing the edge of PG but I did not notice and clear violations.
So I am curious as to why the warnings? Are they an attempt to head off trouble before it occurs?
In doing some searches I found a number of sexual references:
1 - F^%$
34 - nude
123 - $ex
7 - pu$$y !!!!
130 - naked
2 - blowj.. - you get the idea
17 - oral (can't think of a way to use that in a sentence regarding Cobras!)
and so on.
Of course context with many of these words is very important. Like the aluminum cars being refered to as the 'bare naked ladies' or driving a Cobra is 'better than $ex'.
In close I want to say that I beleive the moderators of this site do a GREAT job. Always, well almost always
, a calm voice of reason. I don't want the job!
Just a question. Nothing more!
