The high stance indeed looks like the original stance. Look at the old pics, you will often see shots of a "high rider". I assume the new 8000 series has coil overs and not buggy springs???
I always figured it was more difficult to lower the vehicle with the old transverse springs and that was primarily why they rode "high".
What makes CSX8000 ride high and why? I guess it would give a softer ride, which for a "street" car is good.
