Default New Rear Suspension

Hello,
I have an older CR, purchased 2/29/91. The present rear suspension consists of the coil springs with that adjustable shaft going through them and then a set of shocks. It seems to be weakening (not as stiff as used to be) a bit (as it's been a daily driver for about 6 years now), as bottoms out sometimes, especially when having a passenger in the car. I was given a picture of recent CR build with coilovers (?). When I asked Don about a price he mentioned they run about $300 for the pair. My question, which I forgot to ask, when installing these, do I remove the present suspension (coils with adjustment shafts and shocks) and just install these coilovers where the old shocks were terminated? Also, will these stiffen up the rear so that when I have a passenger it should not bottom out?
Whoa, that' a tuff quesstion huh?? Oh, yeah, are they a simple bolt on? Are do I have to roll out Mister Mig?
Thanks,
Bob Faust
