It was different. The Shelby folks have a shifter that has the correct spring load on the shifter top for the reverse lock out. The lock out is cosmetic but the t-bar actuates similar to the original.
The base is thicker also, it's a 3/4" square stock which brings the shift about 2" closer to the driver than the traditional forward shifter.
