Talking Sunday at the Airstrip..

Sunday turned out to be another spectacular day (three-straight days of blue sky and sunshine).

By the way, the unofficial count for Cobras on Saturday was 283.

The cars caravan'd to the Madison County airstrip for a day of "play".

One side of the runway was setup for Auto-X and one runway was set up, drag-strip style, with about an 1/8th mile run-up... no timing, but plenty of smoke and noise.

Wayne, wtcobra, lit 'em up with the line-lock..

Several of the manufacturers were there all week-end, answering questions and having fun talking cars. Here is Bob Kallio (Midstates), Ron Rosen (SPF) and Tom Kirkham (Kirkham Motorsports).. Bob Marsh from SAI was here as well for most of the weekend.

The Gasholes figured out how to stay (somewhat) out of trouble...
...by having a uniformed police officer with them at all times:

..you do, however, have to keep reminding him to hold onto his hat, under speed:

We got a chance to see if Wilf would actually fit in a GT40; Hersh was glad to offer the opportunity. He did actually fit, but I believe Wilf will have to drive Hersh back to AZ, because I don't think he ever actually got out.

The afternoon ended with many going on the Columbus parade, and others hitting the road for home.
