For those that did not hear about Jenny...
The week prior to the DVSF III, Little Jenny was admitted to Boston's Children's Hospital. She was having a hard time breathing. After a few days stay she was released and was able to go home. After being home for two days one of her lungs partially collapsed. Back to the hospital.
By the time Fling III started Jenny was, once more on her way to a somewhat normal recover for a CF patient, but not enough to be with us this year.
Jenny's father, Dave wrote me a letter the first day of the event and faxed it directly from the hospital to my shop. One of my guys then brought it out to me immediately.
I know it's late morning now, but for me it's still to darned early after the last three weeks of "a wee bit of the sleep", so allow me to paraphrase David and Jenny's letter.
David expressed his greatest appreciation for what all of you have done and what you are doing to help Jenny and the thousands of unfortunate people like her. They like so many of us, had planned for months to come to the Fling, but it simply didn't work out.
A small quote, and I know I am not quoting exactly, from Jenny, but apparently "she" told the Doctors to hurry up and get her better because she was in charge of a really large car show and she had to be there to start them off!
David, I know Jenny is just 5 years old now, but that little Angel of yours, of all people should know that these aren't "cars"! They are "Cobra Chariots". Simply dedicated to help her get well soon.
Jenny, you do not know us individually, but we, "your Cobra family" individually know you. "We", are pulling and working and praying for you and the others like you everyday. It shall be done.
Get well Jenny. We will see you next time.
DV and family
