It is some crud in your needle seat, exactly as stated above. Remove the 4 allens and clean the bowl/needle assembly out. I would recommend that you order a few red "permanent" float bowl gaskets first, from jegs.com
My gasket was trashed upon removal, and I ran around for a few weeks with the secondaries cut off because of the danger from the afore-mentioned "gushing". All is well now
