Where is the dealer in all of this and failing the dealer strepping up to the plate, where is SAI? It's unbelievable that this is being dumped in Kirkham's lap. Kirkham, as a supplier is going waaaay beyond the pale in dealing with a 3-yr old body. But SAI and the dealer aren't following generally accepted practices for customer service. (SAI is responsible for selecting the dealers who represent their brand.) Sure, these cars are not like a Whopper where you can "have it your way" in 30 sec., but that's not what CSX7K signed up for.

Did SAI or the dealer provide CSX7K any opportunity for input regarding remedies for the defect? Listening to David's explanation of trying to diagnose the problem over the phone from third hand information, it's easy to see how the time estimates could be off, but once the facts were known, what options were given to CSX7K?

I must have missed the post where the customer was asked the question: "What can we do to make this right?" I hope that CSX7K will enjoy the car despite his sales experience. For the rest of us, the lesson appears to be disintermediate and deal with Kirkham direct!
