The Lola is basically a big go cart with big wings, extremely wide race tires and a chevy V8. It weighed about 2000# less than the winston cup cars so yes it should have kicked butt. The Pinto powered spyderman car was almost as fast and in the corners was probably faster. The Chevy motor had no part in how fast it was and actually the cup cars were faster in the straights some with chevy and some with ford power.

Heck there was a turbo Miata there that was pretty fast in the corners. I could barely stay within range in the corners and I was only about 10mph faster in the straights.

I guess I need tires to really play with the big boys.

As for the Cobras Tom Jones kicked butt with his 347 stroker powered FFR. Those Kumho victoracer tires were awsome.
