The solenoid has a groung to the engine and the engine has a groud tothe frame.

Poorboy: Autozone was the only place open at 6;30 pm tonigt when I suspected the startre. The starter was giving me real trouble lastyear (towed twice) but has everything has been working until the car sat for two weeks and I went to startr it Friday of Memorial weekend to go to Nashville to the SAAC: nothig.

Took the year old starter back and AZ tested it:it works. Got another sinc they (AZ) were closing. Put it on: an nothing: same symptoms: Solenoid buzzes when the starter mortor is connected to power, clicks kinna quiet when the starter power is disconnected.

I do have a bat disconnect switch: will try your suggestion tomorrow eve.
