It appears that a Cleveland will fit if you use Windsor heads. (You will have to modify the block water passages to use a windsor type head. The Ford motorsports catalog gives details on doing this.)

I think that the Cleveland type heads have the exhaust ports aiming down much like the Yates style heads. This will not work without significant chassis modifications. (John Marsey can tell you all about these mods.)

JBL Dave says that the Cleveland block is very close in dimensions to the windsor unit except it is 4 bolt main. He also says the bell housing is the same bolt pattern.

It would be your best bet to speak with Dave at the shop as he is the Ford engine expert.

I know next to nothing about about these type engines.

However, If you need to know something about a Cosworth FVA, BDA, BDD, DFV, DFX, or even Coventry Climax stuff, I can help out with some truly arcane information.
