You can't title "kit" cars here on the Island of Oahu, period. So for quite some time the issue of an "exemption" kind of thing have been brewing at the legislative level. The "Bill" was sponsored, made it though all the hurdles and landed on the Governor Lynda Lingles desk a few days ago.

......she vetoed it! It will be at least another year before the issue can be reviewed.

We don't have any "smog" regulations here, the nightmare is licensing the car at all.
