Default Want to buy a quality car............

Well I just finished the quarterly taxes and do believe that I still have the 'shirt on my back'....so,

Here's the situation:

I want to buy a Cobra - this desire has been fermenting for some time now.

I have a good local builder ready to prepare a new CR with a crate big block - all he needs is my nod - but before I do that I would like to see what might be available on the resale market.

Here is my wish list:

Quality manufacturer
and quality builder.
Big block Ford power - FE or crate.
High end (performance-wise) suspension including IRS.
Stretched body OK - I'm 6'2, 225#.

Would like the car to be sorted out but not overly 'used'.

I do not want to race - just pleasure drive.

In order to keep a successful long-term marriage intact I can not spend more than 50k.

What I would like to find is a top notch car that some one has considered selling but maybe not put on the market yet. A car that the owner wants more $$ for but would be willing to sell for my price (or less) if the car went to a good home, i.e., a good value for my money.

The CobraCountry ERA in Lexington, KY that heads the For Sale list is a good example - unfortunately this car was sold yesterday.

I am living in Columbus for the near term but reside in Seattle.

All replys will be held in confidence.
There is a relatively short fuse on this search so please respond if you think you have what I am looking for.

Sorry - no partially completed kits (unless it is a complete package deal - including drive train - and too good to pass up). I can't even keep my car washed - so I can not image being able to finish a car (but.................).

Thank you for your time gentlemen!!
