Results at my first car show
My wife convinced me to take my Cobra to our local town fair car show. Nice day for a car show, even though the temperatures were in the 90s and very little wind to cool things off. Spent five hours answering folks questions about the Cobra. Little kids love the looks of a Cobra.
My Cobra is a daily driver. As long as it's not raining or over 100 degrees out I drive my Cobra to work, to grocery shop, out to dinner, you name it. Needless to say, the paint is no longer anywhere near perfect. Which is just fine by me; I'd rather have a Cobra with a little "character" that lets everyone know that it isn't a trailer queen.
Drank four bottles of water and Gateraid, ate one hamburger, sweated like a race horse.
And at the end of the day... my Cobra won 2nd place in the 1949-1975 Custom category, loosing to a very nice custom car owned by a fellow who runs a body and paint shop.
What a hoot!
