Ikestaa,

your original set up is correct, using two barrels initialy gives you much better low rpm fuel velosity and helps keep your engine from falling on its face under hard accelleration, as soon as you get a few revs you get the second set,and of course the secondaries with enough rpms .

you should have a slot in the #2 linkage rod on the passenger side that is designed to give your carbs this stagger....carbs are jetted the same (stock)...you may get a smother rev now , but i doubt you will get the same results under load .
