Default Lonestar/wheel-tire size ?

Hello, I'm looking for people that have a 2001 year compition frame. I want to get the widest wheel/tire size that will fit. I think Lonestar did some new chassis design to fit the popular 17" wheels with low profile tires. I need to know what will fit the old frame. I now have 275x15. & I think it's a 8" wheel. The only problem is with my frame I only have apx. 2" of space between the 45 deg. frame in front of the wheel. I want to find the maxium tire width. If it was a shorter side wall (not as tall) I don't think a 10" wheel would be a problem ? I think the tire size I have now would fit a 10" wheel. The rear side walls really have a round buldge , which I don't like. A straighter wall looks better.
So, if anyone has a older frame like mine, please let me know what size wheel/tire ypu have ! I really like the wheel/tire combo I have, I just want a wider tire in the rear & faltter side wall, with out narrowing the housing & axels. I would go with a different wheel /tire for the front & rear but, don't have the money for four new, wheels & tires.
Thanks,
Kev
