Guys,
I was debating changing my steering wheel also to a racing type diameter with thicker grip from the original Moto-Lita.
Then I picked up a copy of "SPEED SECRETS Professional Race Driving Techniques" by Ross Bently.
I suggest that anyone considering doing any track events spend the $15.95 for the book before doing anything else. I got my copy at Barnes and Noble.
The bottom line is; very little hand movement, moving the wheel less, and using the brakes and accelerator to get you thru the corners faster. He discusses alot in 156 pages, but pretty easy to understand. Great dicussion on the Ideal Line vs. Geometric line thru the corners. I really liked his comment: "keep it straight and smooth." Gives new meaning to "KISS."
I can't wait to try out some of his suggestions
