Thanks Guys,

All I want to do is check the torque. That's it, but I don't want to mess up the alignment. The alignment is perfect - my wheels fit fine.

If I can do that without messing up the alignment, then I'm happy. That's why I'm under the impression that I should put the template on the pins before torqueing them. The template will keep the pin alignment in place while I torque them - or at least that's how I understand it...

If I'm missing something here, then please let me know...ok?
