From all the photos I've seen, 427 S.O. should have the chrome valve covers with the
oil fill coming through the intake manifold.
The engine I'm building will use the Edelbrock RPM manifold with no
oil fill provision so I will need valve covers that have an
oil fill and cap. That's the problem----does anyone offer a chrome valve cover with an oil fill already in place? If not, I suppose I could drill one out-OR- I could go with one of the cast "427 COBRA" valve covers I have seen on Holman-Moody's website, although this is not correct. Any ideas? I'm also concerned about valve cover height to clear a set of COMP roller-rockers. Will the stock height suffice or is that a problem area?
Many thanks--Dandy Don
