All the racers out here are using the Dart block over the similar spec SVO blocks. For roughly the same money, you have to do less machine work on the Darts. The SVO needs the lifter bores honed, and also tunnel boring - both of which I THINK are already done in the Dart. The oiling system in the Dart also looks superior.

Too bad they hadn't been released when I ordered my SVO block...

X - I had my engine built to a specific combination that my builder has had a lot of success with. This meant a 9.5" block, 6.25" rods and 3.9" stroke. JE made a set of standard bore pistons with my rings sizes, pin height and dish shape for the price of "some off the shelf", .030" stroker pistons. I've gotta say that I was amazed, but not complaining!
