The $39,950 price is just a come on. If you go look at what you actually get at that special price you find you still need to spend another $10K plus license, tax and registration to get a Fiberglass car that looks decent and has the normal accessories/trim. That puts it at the upper $50's, but still a decent price for a CSX.
Now, the real question is did Shelby & his dealers really get 75 true signed orders for cars in 2 days at this show?
Or was it really just 75 decent leads or serious inquiries at the show? Shelby hasn't sold 75 cars in any recent whole year. This sounds like a Marketing Press Release, not "insider info"
