CSX 7000,

Okay, not a "dead thread," but rather one without any posts from July 1, 2003, until August 18, 2003, when, through pure coincidence following the SAI announcement concerning the new roller manufacturing and pricing strategy, Dream Master just "stumbled" across the thread. As to your situation, I've already said it's a mess; nobody should have to go through what you've had to endure. I apologize if I gave you the impression I was unsympathetic to your situation--it's awful. And, it does not speak too well, to me at least, about SAI. I've never been a fan of SAI--when the company went after Factory Five and Superformance I posted a lot against its tactics. Along with others I wrote a lengthy letter to the federal patent and trademark office, setting forth numerous reasons why the trade dress allegations were, to my mind at least, nonsensical. I provided a copy to someone sympathetic to the SPF cause--he was going to use it to help in defending the lawsuit, as I recall. Unlike you, I never bought an SAI car, and likely never will. You deserve much better treatment and a much better result than what has happened to you so far. But it's very difficult to keep a straight face around here when Doug attempts to characterize his involvement as somehow coincidental, and motivated only by his desire to be sure all are adequately warned, counseled by him, whatever. That's just ludicrous.

Best of luck with your car, you deserve much better.
