The problem is as it has been the past few elections...the California Republican Party is beating itself up. The Conservatives are holding onto a dream, which is simply not shared by the moderates of both parties. While I count myself as an ultra-conservative, I am starting a new wing of the Calif. GOP called the Pragmatic Conservatives, with a nickname of "AFR"...we need to win with a Republican..."Any F***ing Republican", and Arnold would do quite nicely if McClintock would do the smart thing and fall on his sword sooner rather than later.

Now, I fight the UFW and other radical groups day-in and day-out. I am the son a table grape grower, victims of the grape boycotts over the decades. Yet, my roommate in college was a board member of our college's MEChA, around the same time that Cruz was in another chapter at Fresno State. I learned alot living with the son of a farmworker, and he did from me. MEChA was certainly not on the level of the KKK. That would be the Brown Berets. MEChA was liberal as he!!, so don't misunderstand me, but I fear the political PR machines are overdoing it from the GOP side, just as they have from the Demo side of things in some of the crap they're throwing at Arnold.

Cruz is from my area...some business folks here in the San Joaquin Valley are actually backing him because we're tired of LA and Frisco throwing shoving crap down the Valley's throat. The dynamics of this election are far beyond what you read in the papers...and points out just how many "Californias" there really is.

Cruz is dangerous from an overall standpoint because he will continue Davis' policies, and is much weaker in being able to stand up against the more liberal elements of the State's Demos...ie., Burton and his cronies--the real power in California at the present time.

Thank you and good night Chet.
