Speaking of used NASCAR parts and motors... Three years ago a local dirt track racer here that runs Fords (very rare around here) would go thru two motors a year....he bit the bullet and bought a used NASCAR motor, not complete, but enough parts to build one from Robert Yates Racing,he had it assembled and ran it all season, hard too,won a lot of races,at the end of the year he had it tore down, they put rings and bearings in it and he ran the same set-up the following year with the same results, still running the engine today three seasons later....

He told me that engine made at least 75 to 100 hp more than any other engine he ever had and costs approx. the price of two of his normal engines..... It was cheaper in the long run, cause in three seasons he is still on the same engine and still winning, whereas he would have gone thru at least 6 regular engines.

The NASCAR stuff is certainly top shelf and first class parts and pieces and used goes for a song.....

You can go the Ernie Elliot's site and look at his engine prices and order one.... All new stuff is NOT cheap, but "slighty" used parts are.... At the Rousch site a while back they were advertising used ring & pinion gears sets with less than 500 miles per set that were all lightened and deburred and most were hand polished for $125.00 to $150.00.....Most any gear ratio you could imagine...Top shelf parts for a good price.....
