I used Bob's diagram to place emblems on my car (thanks Bob), and I have a question about the side emblems.

According to Bob's diagram, they are to be placed level with the top of the louver. On my car, and I think this is correct, the louvers angle downward a few degrees from back to front. I've seen many pictures where folks have subsequently placed their side emblems also slightly angled downward from back to front.

While I was aligning mine, I thought this did not look right, and decided to use a level to place mine. I think I recall someone saying once that people often put their side emblems on wrong.

Which way is right?
