Dry sumps use a lot of fittings, and they're big, so they are pricey. Each swivel elbow attached to the pan for the evac stages, cost about $75 a piece. Those little guys add up, but he's probubly giving the retail price for all those fittings, and hose. Good thing the fittings are reuseable.
