Good to hear from you --been wondering what you've been up to. What city is the new house in?
AS to SPFs, I've had mine at the track for about 25 days this year. IN fact, I'm going tomorrow and Tuesday. This time of year we're at our lake house in North Idaho and Spokane Raceway Park is only 45 miles away. It has a 9/10ths mile front straight that the Cobra loves (check out their WEB site under their full name.com). I get very close to 150 mph before I hit the brakes for turn #2 (#1 is a little wrinkle). The Cobra rules SRP so far, dusting off a lot of Corvettes, Vipers, Porsches and BMWs. But, regardless, they're a great group of guys at the track and we all have lots of fun.
JOhn Jr. and I have decided to get 2 Porsche GT3s, which we have on order for March delivery, but I've decided I will never sell the SPF. In addition to being the King of the Track, it is the most beautiful and most exciting car I have ever driven, and I would be very sad not to see it in my garage each day. My wife says it's a Fung Shwei (Sp?) thing. The first thing you see when you come home at the end of the day should make you feel happy. In my case, when I pull into the garage, it is the SPF!!!
IN addition, I've found owning the SPF an entree to meeting some of the nicest car afficianados I've ever known.
I'm sorry you have to sell yours, but good luck on your new purchases.
