My
oil temp was staying too low for me (around 160 F) so I also used the aluminium behind the
oil cooler to block the air and increase my
oil temp. I took the Cobra out for some test and tune session last night (I am running 20 w 50 oil and the outside temp at 7:00 was about 75 degrees) and my oil temp only got up to 210 degrees. Barely enough to eveaporate moisture in the oil. I am thinking of a manual bypass or a solinoid controlled bypass that I can control from inside my cabin (like the accusump switch). This is quite a change for me since my old engine was a "poorly built 428" ran so hot all the time.
