All,

Yes the grease releases just fine after being heated, and doesn't dissolve with the oil. Just the grease without the contact adhesive works on vacuum sealing carb gaskets to intake manifolds, and metering block gaskets to throttle bodies.

Actually this tip originated from HO Racing Specialties in the early '70's when I was tweaking Pontiacs. Works just as well today as it did then.
