They do make such an air filter, Motorsports Intl, El Cajon, CA 619-3909080. Aluminum with K&N filter.
As far as power you would have to have a DYNO to tell. The original turkey pans sealed off when the hood was closed so you only got outside air through the scoop.
If someone here can tell me the gain or loss on 15-20 HP in a 500 HP engine by driving the car more power to them. Most folks have alot less then they think anyway.
