Hi Tom,
I took a picture of my Dads Shamrock Cobra lower swing arm to show you what John Crawford was talking about. It shows the factory weld on the left, and the steel reinforcing sleeve on the right. The half shafts are done in the same manor. I put the picture in my gallery if it doesn't show up here. Good luck!!
