Here's some additional information based on questions I have received through email:
* I'm the original owner of this car, and I had it custom built and took delivery in October of 2001.
* I had the rolling chassis built by Superformance and the engine & transmission installed by Superformance South. My only participation in the construction was writing the checks and asking when it would be finished every couple of days.
* I have about $52K invested in this car for the cost of the rolling chassis and the engine build/install.
* The car has never been in an accident of any kind, nor has it had any paint, frame, or body repair.
* The title and registration as a 1965 Ford Shelby Cobra in Texas.
* All of the photographs in this auction are current and of my car.
* I don't know what the 0-60 time is for this car. Call me a wimp, but under full acceleration with this car I have always wanted to keep both hands on the wheel and my eyes on the road.
* Information about Superformance rolling chasses can be found at
www.superformance.com, for those who asked.
* I'd like to thank everyone for your interest in my car. To see that so many people find it attractive to them makes it a little easier to give it up.
Vehicle Condition
The chassis and engine were built in October 2001. This gorgeous car has been loved and pampered since I bought it and has never been raced, abused, or even driven on wet pavement. The Windsor engine makes it a great all-around driving car, but the engine is very powerful and it is brutally fast upon demand. This car is titled and registered in Texas and has a valid 2004 State Inspection. All paperwork and documentation is available. I am newly married and expecting my first child. I need to make room in garage for SUV, and must now part with this beloved car due to changing priorities.
Anyone interested in inspecting this vehicle in person is welcome to do so. Please contact me via email (use “Ask seller a question”). If you plan to inspect it, please do so prior to bidding.
Terms of Sale
This car is guaranteed to be as described or you may return it for a refund within 14 days of receipt. Shipping, titling, and registration are the responsibility of the buyer. I will provide all paperwork and make any reasonable effort to help with these processes. Payment can be made via certified money order, cashiers check, or wire transfer only. Payment must be received within 10 days of the close of the auction. Any questions, please send email!
