Your vent hose (the part of it that goes inside your tank) is too long. The hose is supposed to let air out of the tank. If it is too long (under the gas as it were) then it cannot let air out and you are in an airlock condition. So the first thing to check is to make sure that the length of the vent hose in the tank is not too long and make sure it is not crimped either.
