You can reuse all your AN fittings from hardline, just cut off the flares and the tube nuts come off ready to use again. It has been about a decade since I went drag racing, but I believe that they don't allow aluminum fuel lines plumbed in the engine compartment in NHRA. (seriously foggy memory on that one)

stainless is better, so is galvinized mild steel.
