I'm inclined to agree with those that suggest your gas tank vent line is obstructed. I can fill my tank as fast as the gas pump can spit it out. I have car 629 and I know ERA made a change to the gas tank filler system shortly after my car was produced. Maybe there's some other problem with your newer design.
