If you got (or get in the future) a letter offering you $500 if you let them crush your $50-100k car it is because it was identified as a suspect vehicle and was identified as such when you smogged it.

That (as I see it) is the only reason for the trip to the referee station under SB-100 if, like in my case I had a passing smog just last year (well under all emissions for a 1966 428 engine with or without dual carbs)

Man, sometimes I hate thinking so diabolically and finding out i'm right.
