um, you must have missed the part about my car having been registered for 15 years.
Go into the DMV or anywhere (this site included) and reference AB 1578 (2001) You get a blank stare. 1578 ammends the language of SB 100 (2000). As such it is commonly referred to as SB 100.
Actually SB 100 says nothing about the CHP. But yes, all newly constructed cars will need to pay a visit to the CHP. That part of the vehicle code has existed for all specially constructed vehicles and other (out of state) vehicles, salvage title vechicles, custom and home built trailers, et al for as long as such things have been covered by statute.
