I think I know why your buddy didn't see anybody at a Shelby plant in South Africa. Shelby is having the cars built under contract by CAV, so there is no Shelby plant there. Maybe your buddy just saw a factory with a "Shelby" sign on the side and assumed it was the Cobra assembly building? I was told that the cars ARE being built, and they have never stopped building them.
I have a question about this statement:

I have worked for Shelby for four years, and I never knew there was a problem with deposits? I was told everybody who put a deposit down got a car. Do you have a buddy who didn't get a car?
